It is open year-round and is located in the city of Anaheim which offers many fun things to do. Enjoy some time with Mickey, Minnie, and other beloved Disney favorites during your off time.

Rub elbows with famous stars? Who knows? You might catch a glimpse of some while you visit Tinseltown. Don't miss the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and other nearby attractions. Hollywood is less than 70 miles west of the Academy and offers many fun things to do.

Find a full day of action-packed entertainment all in one place, which includes thrill rides, shows, and a real working movie studio. Universal Studios is less than 68 miles west of the Academy and is one of the many fun places to go and things to do in the Southern California area.

Southern California has some of the best beaches in the United States. From Santa Monica Beach to the north, to Newport Beach to the south, and all the other fantastic beaches in between, the beach are relaxing and fun places to go when you have worked hard all week. Enjoy fishing, surfing, beach volleyball, and long walks on the beaches while watching gorgeous sunsets. The closest beach is about 60 miles southwest of the Academy and is one of the Staff's favorite nearby attractions.

Palm Springs

Palm Springs is one of the fun places to go known for its hot springs, stylish hotels, golf courses, and spas. The surrounding Coachella Valley offers nearby attractions such as hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. The Palm Springs area has a core shopping district that features vintage boutiques, interior design shops, and fine dining. Also nearby is the renowned Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The city is about 50 miles east of the Academy and provides things to do to relax year around.

Las Vegas, NV.

A visit to Las Vegas will involve intense neon lights and unique sights along the famous Strip. Your gambling luck and skill will be tested in Sin City. The must-visit sights and things to do include riding on a gondola at The Venetian, viewing the Strip atop the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, and enjoying the renowned fountain show at the Bellagio. Also, don't forget the Fremont Street Experience light show. Las Vegas, Nevada, is approx. 225 miles northeast of the Academy and is one of the fun places to go while you're in nearby Southern California.
